Dear Parents and Class of 2020,
On behalf of the Fountain Valley High School Grad Night team, we want to reach out and let you know that we have not closed the doors on Grad Night 2020 and we hope to make it a reality. This has been a long-standing event for our Senior Classes. With the slow opening of California our school district has been working on solutions with the state as well with the CDC to keep everyone safe. We are still waiting direction on what Grad Night 2020 will look like or how this amazing event will happen.
Grad Night 2020 will not be taking place on June 10th like originally planned after the graduation ceremony. What we are hoping for is to maybe have a Grad Day 2020 in late July. Our entertainers, vendors are on hold seeing when and if this will become a reality for the Senior Class of 2020.
Our hope is to be able to celebrate YOU the graduating class of 2020 in a fashion like no other showing our true Baron colors.
For those of you that have already purchased a ticket, we will be issuing a refund. You will be receiving a separate email from our Registration Coordinator in the next few days. Please be watching for this email.
With the uncertainty of Grad Night taking place or not, if this event does take place, new tickets will be sold at that time. We understand that this time has been very difficult on parents, students and everyone involved with the planning of Graduation and Grad Night.
The Grad Night team does not take this lightly to bring this news. This truly breaks my heart and breaks the heart of tradition for FVHS Grad Night.
I would like to pose the thought if we can push this to end of July/later summertime, we are looking at the potential of doing a day event from 11am – 6pm, OR another suggestion was to combine with the Class of 2021 next June. Please let me know your thoughts either way by sending me an email.
Once again we are looking at all options on how we can celebrate the Class of 2020.
For now, we ask that you all stay safe and as soon as we know decisions, we will reach out and let everyone know what the plan is.
